Education is crucial to the improvement of the social and economic status of our local community and the International Antarctic Centre makes a significant and diverse contribution through our community education programme.
We offer visiting groups the opportunity to learn more about Antarctica through the expertise of teaching staff who combine flair and specialist knowledge with first-hand experience of the Great White Continent and Little Blue penguins.
Our programme is tailored to meet the needs of groups of up to 120 people and is set within a dedicated teaching room which enables easy access for people of all abilities. Groups may spend from one hour to half a day at the Centre depending on their individual needs.
