There are many options to choose from for your next meeting or event from a small boardroom meeting, zoom conference calling in one of our 2 large theatre spaces, or a private networking event via the ice cave into the Gallery – we have many options to choose from. OUR SPACES
All our meeting rooms have high speed WIFI, Data Projectors, Screens and Sound Systems – perfect for your next hybrid meeting – all you need to bring is your laptop and invite your guests.
Sir Ed Hillary Room
Located on the Mezzanine Floor, the Sir Ed Hillary room is the perfect room for a small board meeting or Zoom call.

4D Theatre
Use our 4D theatre without the 4D for a bespoke theatre/ meeting experience. Plush leather seats give a real movie experience. Great for Zoom meetings or product launches.
Use the pre-function space available next to the theatre to really create a dramatic WOW for your next event.

Named after Christchurch trail blazer and female role model in the field of Antarctic Geology research – The Margaret Bradshaw Room is a great space to really get the creative minds working.

Recently refurbished, Antarctica 101 is a blank canvas for your creative vision. High ceilings with mounted lighting rails and data projectors – make this space your own.

Atrium
The perfect start or finish to an exciting night out – the Atrium is a unique space for arrival drinks and seated dinners for large events. This space is easily transformed.

Storm Room
Real snow, real WOW! Experience our indoor storm room and brace yourself for a simulated summer Antarctic storm where the wind chill plummets temperatures to -18°C. This room is definitely cooler than cool.

Antarctic Gallery
Start your evening and surprise your guests by entering the Gallery through your own private “ice cave” entrance. The Gallery is the perfect unique space for arrival drinks before an interactive journey through the attraction.

HUSKIES
Our relationship with Southern Huskies means that we are lucky to have Joe and his team of huskies visit us most days. Always up for a cuddle or a photo, we can arrange to have the huskies available at your next event.

Here at the International Antarctic Centre, we know that great food and full bellies is the legacy any memorable event leaves behind and everyone has a different budget – which is why we have two catering options for you!

Blinkhorne Foods creates bespoke catering experiences for all social occasions. With hospitality experience gained throughout New Zealand and Australia, they bring a fresh and contemporary vision back home to Christchurch. They believe the best memories of food come from the company it was shared with, and they feel privileged to collaborate with us in making memorable events.
